The ED50 coded lock is a versatile push button lock as it can be used with panic hardware that uses an 8mm spindle, fire escape lock cases as well as a stand alone security device. The lever of this coded lock is a return to door design so is compatible with BS8300 and current DDA criteria. The ED50 is weather resistant so suitable for external use (not coastal or marine enviroments) and is heavy duty. The coded lock is supplied with a security tubular latch as standard which has an anti-thrust pin incorporated into it's design. These devices are very reliable and made for high traffic areas. The user will enter the code from the non-secure side of the door and on the secure side of the door, simply press the lever down to exit. If you are fitting this device to an outward opening door where the latch bolt of the device is considered to be vunerable, then take a look at our security astragals which conceal the latch/bolt when the door is closed.
